Editorial Policy

This page describes how HealthyFreePress selects, produces, and reviews content. It is written to be unusually specific — readers and search engines alike should be able to verify exactly what the site is and is not.

Scope

HealthyFreePress covers four consumer-health pillars: Weight & Metabolism, Sleep & Fatigue, Stress / Anxiety / Mental Wellness, and Gut Health. We do not cover acute medical news, pharmaceutical regulatory news, clinical trial data, or topics outside everyday wellness.

Source selection

The site monitors approximately 25 sources:

  • Consumer-wellness publishers (about half the feed): Healthline, Verywell Health, Verywell Mind, Verywell Fit, Well+Good, Mindbodygreen, Prevention, EatingWell, Self, Shape, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Yoga Journal.
  • Topic-specific Google News queries (about half the feed): consumer-language searches such as “how to lose weight,” “sleep hygiene,” “anxiety relief,” and “gut health tips” — three per pillar.

Institutional and academic sources (NIH, CDC, university press releases, journal feeds) were deliberately removed in May 2026 because the site’s editorial focus is consumer-facing wellness reporting, not primary research.

Sources are reviewed periodically. Publications that change focus, lower standards, or repeatedly publish misleading content are removed.

How aggregated items are produced

  1. A scheduled process polls the source feeds every two minutes.
  2. New items are filtered against the four pillars by keyword.
  3. The original headline is rewritten for clarity and consistency using an automated language-model API. The rewrite is constrained to be a faithful summary of the original headline — no new claims, no editorial spin.
  4. The item is published as a short post on HealthyFreePress whose link points to the original publisher’s article.
  5. The original publisher always receives the click and the underlying reporting credit.

We disclose the use of an automated language model because transparency about production methods is, in our view, table stakes for an honest publisher.

Original long-form posts

On the first of each month, we publish four original long-form posts — one per pillar, roughly 700 words each — synthesizing the previous 30 days of reporting in that area. Drafts are generated with editorial-assistance tools and then reviewed, edited, and published manually by the named editor. Each original post includes:

  • A real byline.
  • A “Sources” section with live outbound links to every underlying article.
  • A standard medical disclaimer.

What we do not do

  • No paid placement. We do not accept payment, gifts, or other consideration in exchange for coverage, link placement, or favorable treatment.
  • No fabricated bylines. Every original post is attributed to a real person.
  • No medical advice. HealthyFreePress is an information site. We do not diagnose, treat, or recommend treatment for any condition. See our Medical Disclaimer.
  • No undisclosed affiliate content. If we ever publish content with affiliate links, it will be clearly disclosed at the top of the post.

Independence

HealthyFreePress is independently owned and operated. It is not affiliated with any publisher, pharmaceutical company, wellness brand, supplement maker, or health-care provider.

Corrections

We treat factual accuracy as the most important thing the site can offer. See our Corrections Policy for how to report an error and how we handle it.
